RJE Telecom is seeking Customer Service Technicians (CST II) to perform all phases of installation and repair of subscriber premises, small business equipment including Full Install DSL, multiline phones, and complex cable trouble (Includes I&R, cable maintenance, and DSL). Must have strong I&R and cable maintenance background--at least 5 years recent work experience. MUST have own truck, tools and test equipment necessary to perform the functions described above. Requires own cell phone, laptop, DSL test set, hand test set, hand tools, ladder, body belt. Must have a truck equipped for shooting trouble. Installation includes equipment used in voice, video, fiber optics and data telecommunications networks. Additional responsibilities may include analyzing, planning, layout and assign installation activity to other installation personnel. Requirements - Must be trained or familiar with:
Bay/equipment rack installation

DC Power and fuse box wiring

ADTRAN aggregators, MUXES, installs and basic test and turn-up

DSX terminations

DS3 and fiber installs

blueprint / schematic reading

Central office procedures

The successful candidates will have the ability to generate engineering specifications including scope of work, material lists, and specific engineering details, including drawings and installation notes. MUST demonstrate strong knowledge of transport and access/pairgain systems. Working knowledge of OC12/48 transport systems and Calix C7/E5-400, Adtran TAxxxx, Adtran OPTI 6100, AFC, and other pairgain systems plus a good understanding of ADSL, VoIP, and IPTV is REQUIRED. Candidate should have a strong working knowledge of CenturyLink (Embarq) Legacy systems including Fireworks, Bidmaster, NED, CIRAS & NDFOS.
